This is a sample of the new videos coming out for Spanish
January 30th, 2009 at 1:18 pm
I like this video fast because it’s more like a real person would say it. This way the transition to a real conversation’s speed won’t be shocking to me like when I take slow lessons.

Fast is good, just let it happen and replay it several times - don’t ‘try’ it to death - practise without pressure

Yes, if you are saying Ud. Usted or Ustedes you need to talk in a formal way, so the phrases or sentences correct.
February 19th, 2009 at 5:46 am
but if they were using the formal one, then wouldn’t they also have to say usted in the sentence too?
February 21st, 2009 at 4:10 pm

February 24th, 2009 at 6:49 am
February 27th, 2009 at 12:05 am
Exactly! ¿Cómo estas? Spanish is my native language…that’s why I make the observation. Because Colombian friends used to called me “Ud.” even as a friend.. but this the way they speak, I do not think that is incorrect it is just that in an Spanish class a teacher will make see the difference. That’s it.

como estas is used also with friends and people you don’t know , como esta is only usable in case of a formal situation

March 8th, 2009 at 10:36 am
No entendí bien tu comentario.
March 11th, 2009 at 3:01 am
March 14th, 2009 at 2:44 pm
