   hey! priviet! I am trying to learn Russian. I took Russian 100 at UBC and now Im taking Russian 200 (its tough) more paragraph writing….I don’t feel like I am really learning how to SPEAK it though. What are some awesome movies? Can’t wait to go to Russia one day!!!!!:)

   True, but then again it’s already quite advanced in terms of vocabulary and rate of speech. At this level, language learners should be able to work without translations.

   I agree with you, though. It’s funny! For those watching soley for entertainment, subtitles would help.

    The scene opens with Lyosha (the guy) greeting Dasha (the girl). There’s too much to translate, but basically Dasha tells her co-worker that she has some unique abilities. She can now do OFFICE MAGIC! Lyosha is skeptical, but Dasha goes on to demonstrate how she can work out complex math problems in her head. Then she summons Mikhail Denisovich (apparently a lazy worker). The supervisor at the end says that no one gets paid for “office magic”.

    If you were to put English susbtitles to it it would be even more helpful for foreigners though.
